Fort Worth Police Settle Use of Force Case
The Fort Worth City Council has approved a $150,000 settlement to resolve a lawsuit stemming from the actions of former police officer Mitchell Miller, who pushed a handcuffed man face-first onto a concrete floor during a 2022 arrest. The victim, Tawayne Holloway, lost consciousness and required hospitalization. Miller was later fired for excessive force, and attorney Dean Malone, representing Holloway, emphasized that such conduct reflects broader concerns about police practices and accountability in Fort Worth.
The Law Offices of Dean Malone, P.C. represents individuals in Texas whose civil rights have been violated through jail neglect, or abuse, seeking accountability and justice for victims.
