On or about September 23, 2017, a man died in the custody of the Harris County Sheriff’s Department.  According to a written report, the Harris County Sheriff received calls regarding the man who ultimately died.  The Sheriff’s Office alleges that the deceased man refused to comply with instructions and struggled with Sheriff’s deputies.  The deputies alleged that they used Tasers on the man and ultimately handcuffed him.  The report also indicates that the man fell into an unconscious state after being handcuffed and ultimately died.  The cause of death is uncertain at this time.  As with all posts to this website, we allege nothing about anyone acting inappropriately but are simply reporting information.
