In November 2022, 2 Inmates Having Just Been in Leg Shackles Die in Tarrant County Jail Just Over 1 Week Continued
Not much is said about the November 8, 2022, death of a 56-year-old inmate at Tarrant County Jail. The custodial death report (CDR) indicates that he entered the jail on September 6, 2022. On October 6, 2022, he was transferred to John Peter Smith Hospital (JPSH) for treatment of metastatic cancer. At about 9:40 PM on November 8, in room P534 of JPSH, a physician declared the man deceased.
The Medical Examiner’s results were available for the CDR, and it shows that the medical cause of death was metastatic carcinoma of the liver. After admission to the jail’s jurisdiction, the inmate did receive treatment for the medical condition that caused his death.
An Inmate Dies in Tarrant County Jail on November 16, 2022, 8 Days After Another Custodial Death
A 54-year-old inmate was booked into the jail on November 10, 2022. The intake officer noted that he exhibited medical problems. While in Tarrant County Jail, he received treatment for the pre-existing medical condition that caused his death. Other than that, only the events of the day the man died are revealed plus one other detail.
