A 23-Year-Old Tarrant County Jail Inmate Dies on 7/20/22-Pt.3
Trelynn Dmaun Wormley was only 23 years old when he died in the custody of Tarrant County Jail, which is at 100 North Lamar Street in Fort Worth, Texas 76196. The custodial death report (CDR) about Mr. Wormley shows that he experienced a medical emergency. Fellow inmates reported that he seemed to be having trouble breathing. Jailers changed “the Code” to a cardiac emergency, and an ambulance service transported him to John Peter Smith Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 3:55 PM on July 20, 2022.
Christopher Torres-Garcia Dies of Sepsis in a Texas County Jail in Laredo
Christopher Torres-Garcia was booked into Webb County Jail at 1700 E Saunders in Laredo, TX 78041 on December 1, 2021, at 4:07 PM. He died in the jail’s custody a week later on December 8, 2021, at 4:15 PM. His manner of death is listed as accidental. The cause of death, per the CDR, is sepsis due to infected drug injection sites. The report also shows that Mr. Torres-Garcia received treatment for the medical condition that caused his death after being admitted into the jail.
On the day of his death, it shows that the deceased was transferred to a different post for temporary housing. At midday, he said he didn’t feel well and collapsed. An ambulance took him to Laredo Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead less than 3 hours after his collapse.
