A 40-Yr-Old Fort Bend County Jail Texas Inmate Dies

Kristen Anthony Cabezas was an inmate of Fort Bend County Jail when he died on March 23, 2022. His cause of death is pending autopsy results. The address of Fort Bend County Jail is 1410 Richmond Parkway, Richmond, TX 77469. Mr. Cabezas was only 40 years old.

A Fort Bend County Jail Inmate Dies on 2/4/22

Zachary Daniels was booked into Fort Bend County Jail on December 29, 2021, and he died in the custody of the jail on February 4, 2022. The 22-year-old committed suicide. After being discovered with a bedsheet around his neck and hanging from the bars of the cell door, life-saving measures began. Members of the jail’s medical staff continued with CPR until an ambulance from a nearby hospital arrived. He was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital.

The custodial death report for Zachary Daniels was filed by the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office on March 28, 2022. The report indicates that Mr. Daniels both made suicidal statements and exhibited evidence of having mental health problems. He was housed in a single cell.

Like all Texas county jails, suicide prevention is among the minimum jail standards by which Fort Bend County Jail must operate. The Texas Commission on Jail Standards (TCJS) establishes and enforces those standards.
