A 53-Year-Old Inmate in Denton County Jail Texas Dies-Pt2
Helen Renee Jackson entered Denton County Jail on November 17, 2021. The custodial death report (CDR) indicates that she exhibited medical problems at the time of booking. Ms. Jackson died in the jail’s custody on December 29, 2021, for unknown reasons. Autopsy results are awaited to learn the cause of death.
A 23-Year-Old Inmate in Denton County Jail Dies of Possible Diabetic Ketoacidosis
Brandon Alexander Dominguez entered Denton County Jail in Denton, Texas, on July 2, 2021. The Denton County Sheriff’s Office filed a CDR about the August 18, 2021, death of Mr. Dominguez. On the day before his death, he had become unresponsive in the multiple-occupancy cell where he was housed. The CDR states that it looked as though Mr. Dominguez went into cardiac arrest. Life-saving measures were initiated, and he was transferred to Medical City Denton, a hospital. Because Mr. Dominguez still had a pulse, efforts to revive him continued.
The hospital made some tests and diagnosed Mr. Dominguez with possible Diabetic Ketoacidosis. He was placed on life support and died the next day when life-saving measures were terminated by family members.
