As a jail nurse was distributing medications, she saw that the young woman this story from outside Texas is about required help to get off of her bunk bed. The nurse also said the inmate was visibly shaking, foaming at the mouth, and sweating. The nurse helped the inmate go to the restroom.
Ultimately, the nurse became alarmed about the inmate’s condition. She obtained a wheelchair and took the inmate to the jail’s medical clinic. The condition of the inmate continued to seriously decline. Finally, the staff called emergency medical services (EMS). Before the ambulance arrived, the inmate slid off her wheelchair. EMS personnel rushed the woman to a nearby hospital, where she died an hour later.
