Juan Carlos Guerrero had been incarcerated for just shy of a month when he was found hanging by his neck from a sheet tied around his neck. The other end was secured to the top bunk. There was no pulse found, and a Code 1 Blue was called. It was an indication that emergency medical assistance was required.
The deputy who found him did chest compressions until medical staff arrived. Lifesaving measures continue for Mr. Guerrero as he was transported by ambulance to the Downtown Baptist Emergency Room. There, it was discovered that he had succumbed to his injuries and he was pronounced deceased on November 2, 2022.
