A Bexar County Jail Inmate Dies on Day 4-Pt2
A custodial death report (CDR) was filed by the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office regarding Ryan Adam Legg on April 13, 2022. Mr. Legg was housed in a multiple-occupancy cell in Bexar County Jail when he took his own life on March 24, 2022. The address of the San Antonio jail is 200 N. Comal, zip 778207.
Mr. Legg is one of at least two inmates who have died in the custody of Bexar County Jail so far this year. In 2021, at least five Bexar County Jail inmates died. Details about these tragic custodial deaths start below and continue in this series.
Daniel Maldonado
Daniel Maldonado died on February 15, 2022, at the age of 31 while in the custody of Bexar County Jail. Mr. Maldonado was booked into the facility on January 10, 2022. His cause of death is unknown and pending autopsy results. The summary of how the death occurred is brief and indicates that a Code Blue was called for Mr. Maldonado at 6:50 AM on the day of his death. He was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital, where a doctor declared Mr. Maldonado deceased at 7:28 AM. The CDR indicates that it is unknown whether the decedent exhibited any medical problems when he was booked into Bexar County Jail.
