A Female Taylor County Jail Inmate in Abilene TX Dies on Day 10-Pt.4

Details from the summary of the death of 63-year-old Tammy Jo Sanders continue here. She was an inmate of Taylor County Jail in Abilene, Texas, and had not shown a response to lifesaving techniques after being found nonresponsive in her cell on November 16, 2022. The local fire department and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) continued the efforts when they arrived at the jail.

Taylor County Jail Inmate Clifton Bradley Curtis Dies in Custody on 5/3/2018

Continuing the narrative about Clifton Bradley Curtis, his weight dropped to 106 pounds on May 1, 2018. At the request of medical staff, he was transported to Hendrick Medical Center, where he was admitted into the hospital. He died at 1 PM on May 3, 2018.

Results of the autopsy showed that Mr. Curtis died of natural causes. Known conditions that he suffered from were cirrhosis of the liver, asthma, gastroesophageal reflux, hypotension, and abnormal weight loss. The custodial death report (CDR) also shows that in the time leading up to the death or during the events causing death, Mr. Curtis was restrained with handcuffs and leg shackles.
