A San Patricio County TX Inmate is Pronounced Deceased on 10/10/22-Pt.2
The San Patricio County Sheriff’s Department filed a report about the death of 42-year-old Robert Charles Cope II with the Office of the Attorney General of Texas on October 14, 2022. Mr. Cope was arrested on October 9, 2022, and placed in the San Patricio County Jail. He was pronounced deceased at midnight the following day. The cause of death is pending autopsy results, but the report currently says the following under “Medical Cause of Death:” Had meth and ecstasy in system, possibly heart attack. A Female Correctional Officer is Arrested for Allegedly Attempting to Bring Liquid Fentanyl into a Texas Prison
In October 2022 news out of Lamesa, Texas, a female prison correctional officer in West Texas is accused of trying to bring liquid fentanyl and PCP into a prison unit. The woman was using a Febreze spray bottle to bring the drugs inside a correctional institution, and she was arrested for this alleged offense on October 6, 2022.
An officer involved in the case said that the woman was caught with 17.5 ounces of liquid PCP and 21 ounces of liquid fentanyl. When her vehicle was searched, an additional 5 ounces of liquid fentanyl and 30.5 ounces of liquid PCP were also found.
