A Tarrant County Jail Inmate in Fort Worth TX Dies-Pt.3
The jailer who processed Kenneth Ray Perry in the Tarrant County Jail booking process at 8:28 PM on September 27, 2022, noted that the 65-year-old appeared to be intoxicated by drugs or alcohol. Approximately 33 hours later, he was found unresponsive and life-saving measures were initiated. Then, within 30 minutes, Mr. Perry was declared deceased in the booking area of the Fort Worth, Texas, jail. His time of death was 6:25 AM on September 29, 2022.
Tarrant County Jail Inmate Edgar Villatoro-Alvarez Dies on 2/25/22
Edgar Villatoro-Alvarez was 40 years old both when he was booked into Tarrant County Jail in Fort Worth, Texas, on December 14, 2021, and when he died in the jail’s custody on February 25, 2022. The jailer who processed Mr. Villatoro-Alvarez in booking noted that he exhibited mental health problems.
The custodial death report (CDR) prepared about the death of Mr. Villatoro-Alvarez indicates that, after admission into the jail’s jurisdiction, he received treatment for the medical condition that caused his death. However, nothing was said to specify the type of medical issue he received treatment for.
In the summary regarding Mr. Villatoro-Alvarez’s death, it says that a medical emergency was called for him by the pod officer at 3:01 PM on February 24. In quick response, an ambulance and the Fort Worth Fire Department went to the jail, and Mr. Villatoro-Alvarez was immediately transported to the emergency room (ER) at John Peter Smith Hospital (JPSH). At 10:46 on September 25, 2022, a physician at JPSH pronounced Mr. Villatoro-Alvarez deceased. His cause of death is unknown and pending autopsy results.
