A Tarrant County Jail Inmate in Fort Worth TX Dies-Pt.4
On October 18, 2022, the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Department filed a custodial death report (CDR) regarding Kenneth Ray Perry. Mr. Perry went through intake at Tarrant County Jail on September 27, 2022. Shortly after being found unresponsive approximately 33 hours later, he was pronounced deceased on September 29, 2022. His cause of death is pending the results of an autopsy.
Inmate Javonte Lakendrick Myers Died in Tarrant County Jail on 6/19/2020
At age 28, Javonte Lakendrick Myers entered the Tarrant County Jail in Fort Worth, Texas, on June 18, 2020, at 2:35 AM. The jailer who processed booking indicates that Mr. Myers exhibited both mental and medical health problems. The CDR places the date/time of custody (arrest, incarceration) on June 17, 2020, at 3:41 AM. Tragically, Mr. Myers was pronounced dead at 4:50 PM on June 19, 2020.
The summary of how his death occurred states that at 4:28 PM on the day of his death he was found unresponsive in his cell. Life-saving measures were immediately instigated. An automated external defibrillator (AED) was placed on him, but no shocks were advised or administered. A Medstar emergency medical technician (EMT) is the person who declared him deceased.
The original CDR sent by the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office said that cause of death was pending the results of an autopsy. In an amended CDR dated January 8, 2021, the manner of death is listed as natural. The medical cause of death was “seizure disorder.”
