An Inmate Housed in a Detox Cell in Tarrant County Jail Dies-Pt.4
Heidiann Renee Gitts was brought by ambulance to John Peter Smith Hospital at 1:06 PM, and lifesaving efforts continued. Medical staff declared Ms. Gitts deceased at 8:49 PM that day, March 20, 2023. A detective with the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office was assigned to investigate her death. The Fort Worth Police Department Major Case Unit will conduct an independent review of Ms. Gitts’ death.
Kenneth Ray Perry Dies in Tarrant County Jail Continued
The custodial death report sheds light on the events surrounding the death of Kenneth Ray Perry, who was an inmate at Tarrant County Jail. He was brought in on Thursday, September 27, 2022, at 8:28 PM. The next thing documented about him is that he was found unresponsive in cell 61-A-48, a single cell, at 5:55 AM on September 29, 2022.
The Med-Star Ambulance Service responded to a medical code and a Dr. Heart (cardiac emergency) at 5:57 AM. After he was deemed unresponsive to lifesaving measures, he was pronounced deceased by a medic with the ambulance service. Mr. Perry’s time of death on September 29, 2022, was 6:25 AM.
Trelynn Dmaun Wormley Dies After Incarceration in Tarrant County Jail
Trelynn Dmaun Wormley was booked into Tarrant County Jail on January 25, 2022. He died in the jail’s custody on July 20, 2022. More details will follow in the next installment of this series.
