Bexar County, Texas Jail to Close? Texas Commission on Jail Standards Inspection Goes Awry.
The Bexar County, Texas jail in San Antonio was recently inspected by the Texas Commission on Jail Standards. Unfortunately, after that inspection, the Bexar County jail was found to be out of compliance with Texas Commission on Jail Standards standards. Problem areas include record keeping, the inmate classification system, and using non-sworn employees to book and release inmates. If the jail cannot remedy issues, it could close. We will post more once additional information is available.
