The facility shall be inspected annually by a local fire official who is certified by the Texas Commission on Fire Protection or who meets the alternative criteria provided in Government Code 419.909 and shall pass the inspection.

RULE §273.5 (1)~ Mental Disabilities/Suicide Prevention Plan-Training

Provisions for staff training (including frequency and duration) on the procedures for recognition, supervision, documentation, and handling of inmates who are mentally disabled and/or potentially suicidal. Supplemental training should be provided to those staff members responsible for intake screening.

• Two hours of training for staff in accordance with the approved Mental Disabilities/Suicide Prevention operational plan was not provided during the year 2022.

RULE §279.1(2)-Sanitation Plan

Under the chapter on Sanitation, Stonewall County Jail was found noncompliant with Rule §279.1(2)-Sanitation Plan. (2) Water and sewage systems not part of a public system and food preparation areas shall be inspected at least annually by health authorities and record kept for each inspection.
