Tarrant County, Texas Jail Inmate Jennifer Espinoza Dies in Custody
A Haltom City woman, who was incarcerated in the Tarrant County jail, recently passed away in custody. Jennifer Espinoza, who was only 37 years of age at the time, had been indicted related to possession of a controlled substance. She was booked into the Tarrant County jail on January 10, 2019. However, just a few days later, when a cell check was conducted, she was found to be unresponsive. She was ultimately pronounced deceased. The Texas Rangers will investigate the custodial death. Pursuant to the Sandra Bland Act, a law enforcement agency other than the one involved in the death must conduct the investigation.
