Gregg County Jail Visitation

After an inmate has been booked into Gregg County Jail, at their request, they may fill out a card for visitation. Each inmate can have the names of up to five immediate family members on their visitation card. Approval of a visitation card can take up to 10 days. Every 30 days, inmates are permitted to make changes to their visitation card. Immediate family members of inmates include the following:

  • Father
  • Mother
  • Sister
  • Brother
  • Child of inmate
  • A spouse the inmate is legally married to, and a marriage certificate must be provided.

Note: A spouse in a common-law marriage will not be approved for inmate visitation.

Visitation times are posted online and in public visitation areas at the facility. If anyone arrives more than two hours after visitation hours have begun, they will not be permitted to visit that day.
