Jail Brutality Lawyer – The Recent Death Toll in a County Jail Outside Texas is Heightening Concerns – Part 2

Many dozens of inmates have made serious complaints against the county jail outside Texas formerly alluded to.

One inmate shares about his experience of falling and breaking his hip replacement while incarcerated. He claims that the jail staff waited for more than one year to take him to see a doctor outside the jail facility. He recently said that, at this point, he is still suffering daily, waiting to get his leg fixed, and cannot work until it is taken care of.

Alleged denial of needed medical care is also the complaint of another inmate who was handcuffed near a nursing station at the jail when he had an encounter with two guards. According to the inmate, the guards slammed him onto his left knee that had recently been operated on. He said that the impact was so significant that muscles were torn in his leg and his knee snapped completely out of joint.

The most consequential cases with the highest profiles at the jail involved three inmates that were all waiting for trials regarding small-time offenses they were charged with. It was made public that the circumstances of each of their deaths were horrific and grotesque, as follows:

  • An inmate who had been jailed for less than a month died from gangrene.
  • Alcohol withdrawal is the cause of death of another of the inmates.
  • One man had an untreated obstruction in his bowel, and he died from complications related to that condition.
