3 Texas Walmart Employees were Seriously Injured in August 2021 – Work Injury Plan

According to the August 2021 update on serious injuries in U.S. workplaces, pallet or forklift-involved employee injuries in Texas occurred at three different Walmart locations. Walmart and other big-box stores such as Home Depot, Amazon, and Lowe’s have a duty to keep employees safe. None of these major employers likely have Texas workers’ compensation, but that doesn’t change the fact that protections must be provided in consideration of hazards related to forklifts. The U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) prepares the serious injury reports, and details on the August 2021 injury that occurred in a Walmart in Orange, Texas, follow.

On August 30, 2021, at Walmart Store #0777, located at 3115 Edgar Brown Drive in Orange, TX 77630, an employee was seriously injured and required hospitalization.
