Company Fined As Result of Employee Death

The California Department of Industrial Relations (“CDIR”) fined Pacific Gas & Electric $176,000 as a result of the the electrocution of a utility worker this year.  The CDIR levied the fine after reviewing a Cal-OSHA report alleging lax enforcement of employee safety rules.  A worker was installing a transformer into a vault when he was electrocuted.  Here is a link to an article –
