Houston-Based Tree Service Company Fined by OSHA

OSHA cited ABC Professional Tree Services Inc. (a Houston-based tree-trimming company) for $146,000 in proposed penalties for allegedly failing to ensure that employees were properly trained to work near energized transmission and distribution lines.  The company trims trees for utility companies.  OSHA has inspected the company nationwide eleven times since 2004, and OSHA issued a total of fifteen citations for alleged violations of OSHA standards.  The inspections include three resulting from fatalities.
