Houston, Texas Goodman Manufacturing Company, L.P. Facility Cited for OSHA Violations
Goodman Manufacturing Co., L.P. recently had eighty-three (83) citations issued against it by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (“OSHA”) and could have faced over $1.2 million in proposed fines for allegedly failing to record and improperly recording work-related injuries and illnesses. The location cited was Goodman’s Houston air conditioning cooling facility. Allegedly, the OSHA investigation began in early March, 2010 in response to a complaint. Goodman allegedly had not recorded or failed to properly record seventy-two percent (72%) of employee injuries and illnesses from 2008 to March 15, 2010. Goodman had 15 business days to comply, request an informal conference with OSHA, or contest the citations and penalties. As of this post, we are uncertain as to what Goodman did in response.
