San Antonio Company Litho Press Inc. Cited for Alleged “Serious” OHSA Violations
OSHA cited Litho Press Inc. with nineteen alleged “serious” violations. The company could face penalties of $53,550.00
The alleged violations occurred at Litho Press Inc.’s site in San Antonio. OSHA alleges that some of the company’s practices resulted in employees being at risk for suffering amputations from improper machine guarding. The alleged inadequate machine guarding for for things including pulleys, belts, and shafts. There was also an alleged fall hazard issues. Workers could have fallen approximately nine feet as a result of a sixteen-inch gap in a guardrail. Among other options, the company can request an informal conference with OSHA’s San Antonio Area Office.
