Three Texas Walmart Employees are Injured in Workplace Falls-Pt2

Falls are a major type of workplace hazard, in some industries being the number one cause of workplace fatalities and injuries. The U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) details serious employee falls and fall-related fatalities in various reports. In a recent serious work injury update, OSHA included three October 2021 Texas workplace falls at various Walmart stores in the state. Like Lowe’s, Amazon, and Home Depot, Walmart is a big box store that likely does not subscribe to the workers’ comp program in Texas. That doesn’t change the fact that all employers have a duty to provide employees with a safe workplace environment.
