Three Texas Walmart Employees are Injured in Workplace Falls

In the serious injury report in which October 2021 workplace accidents were added, the U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) details three Texas Walmart injuries. All three were serious injuries resulting from a fall. Like Lowe’s, Home Depot, and Amazon, Walmart is not likely a subscriber to the workers’ compensation insurance program in Texas.

Falls are the second-leading cause of unintentional injury-related deaths. The National Safety Council (NSC) shares 2020 statistics spotlighting falls as a major hazard in the workplace. Due to falls, 805 workers died on the job and 211,640 suffered a serious enough work injury that they required days off from work. The NSC also states that falls are 100% preventable. A Walmart Employee Suffers a Serious Fall Injury in Midland, Texas

At the 4517 N. Midland Drive Walmart in Midland, Texas 79707, a worker was hurt seriously enough on October 6, 2021, that hospitalization was required. Details of the alleged work accident follow.

  • A Walmart employee in Midland, Texas, had been changing the oil in a vehicle when he fell onto the floor and suffered a brain injury.
