The following are more of the serious Texas work injuries allegedly suffered by employees of H-E-B, according to a report prepared by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA):
- An employee at an H-E-B in Aransas Pass, Texas, was allegedly seriously injured on the job on August 24, 2018. The employee cut his left thumb when opening a box with a utility knife. He was hospitalized for treatment of the injury.
- At an H-E-B facility in San Antonio, Texas, an employee allegedly suffered a serious injury on April 23, 2018. The employee was using a yard tractor to move a trailer when he fell from the tractor cab ladder onto the concrete floor, striking his head.
- At a Southlake, Texas, H-E-B facility, an employee allegedly suffered a serious injury on March 17, 2018. The employee was pulling a manual pallet jack when he slipped onto the floor. His right ankle was struck by the pallet jack, fracturing it.
- On January 27, 2018, an employee at a Corpus Christi, Texas, H-E-B facility allegedly suffered a serious work injury. The employee was climbing a two-step ladder, mis-stepped, lost her balance, and fell to the concrete floor, which caused her right wrist to be fractured and dislocated.
