Lizza Gadlin Dies After Brief Incarceration in Tarrant County Jail

Lizza Elizabeth Gadlin was booked into Tarrant County Jail on April 15, 2025. Tragically, Ms. Gadlin died in the jail’s custody just four days later on April 19, 2025. She was only 57 years old. The Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office filed a
custodial death report (CDR) about Ms. Gadlin on April 20, 2025. It indicates that her cause of death was the result of a pre-existing medical condition, but the official cause is pending the results of an autopsy.

After her tragic death, jail cameras were checked, confirming that a sight check was performed by a detention officer at 2:51 AM, according to the jail.
- Thirty-eight-year-old Kasey Ball, a detainee in Oklahoma County Detention Center, was discovered unresponsive in her cell at 7:00 PM on April 18, 2025. An inmate count was being conducted at the time. Jail medical staff performed CPR, and emergency responders continued lifesaving measures after their arrival. Ms. Ball was transported to a local hospital, where she was pronounced deceased at approximately 8:05 PM that day. An autopsy was ordered, and the cause and manner of her death are awaiting the results.
