Rule §273.2(7)~Health Services Plan
In Rule §273.2 under Health Services, Coryell County Jail was found non-compliant with Part 7 of this rule. As shown previously, it provides procedures for the distribution of prescriptions in accordance with written instructions from a physician by an appropriate person designated by the sheriff/operator
TCJS inspector Byron Shelton made this note about noncompliance with this rule:
- A review of the Coryell County Jail medical administration record sheets revealed that there were multiple occasions in which the jail staff failed to document the distribution and or refusal of prescribed medications.
